New eleven cases of Covid-19 in Cuba

As of yesterday’s close, July 30th, 423 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance. Another 3,450 people are being monitored in their homes by the Primary Health Care.

For COVID-19, 3,696 samples were studied, resulting in 11 positive samples. The country has accumulated 264,147 samples and 2,608 positive samples (0.99%). Therefore, at yesterday’s close, 11 new cases were confirmed, for an accumulated total of 2,608 in the country.

The 11 confirmed cases were Cuban. Of those diagnosed, 10 (90.9%) were contacts of confirmed cases and in 1 (9.1%) the source of infection is not specified. Of these, 5 (45.4%) were female and 6 (54.5%) were male. By age group: from 20 to 39 years old with 5 cases (45.4%), from 40 to 60 years old 4 cases (36.4%) and less than 20 years old 2 cases (18.2%). 81.8% (9) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Of the 2,608 patients diagnosed with the disease, 164 (6.3%) remain in the hospital, of whom 163 (99.4%) have a stable clinical course. There were 87 deaths (none during the day), two evacuated and 2,355 recovered patients (90.4%) (no discharge yesterday). No patients were reported in serious condition and 1 in critical condition.
