Cuba reports 18 new cases of Covid-19

As of the close of yesterday, October 13, 2,959 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 1,943 are under surveillance, 759 are suspected, and 257 have been confirmed.

For COVID-19, 6,758 samples were studied, resulting in 18 positive samples. The country accumulated 713,059 samples and 6,035 positive ones (0.85%). Therefore, by yesterday’s closing, 18 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 6 thousand 035 in the country. The 18 diagnosed cases are Cuban.

Of the total number of cases (18), 14 (77.7%) were contacts of confirmed cases, accumulating 5,562 (92.1%), with no source of infection specified four (22.2%). Of them, four (22.2%) are female, accumulating 2 thousand 946 (48.8%) and 14 (77.7%) male. 61.1% (11) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Of the 6,035 patients diagnosed with the disease, 257 (4.2%) remain confirmed, 250 (97.2%) with stable clinical evolution. It is reported 123 deaths (none of them during the day), two evacuated, 51 discharges during the day, 5 thousand 653 recovered patients (94%), two critical and five serious ones.
