Cuban President congratulates Cuba’s sixth Olympic gold medal in Tokyo 2020

Havana, Aug 6 (RHC) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel congratulated boxer Julio César La Cruz, who won his second Olympic title and gave Cuba its sixth gold medal in Tokyo 2020, through his Twitter account.

What a dawn you have given us Julio Cesar! In the Homeland was felt the I love you Cuba that you said when you won your second Olympic gold. Congratulations, my boy, your fight was resounding. We already have 6 gold medals and our small island is in 13th place in the medal standings, what a feat!

The Shadow at Tokyo 2020

The 31-year-old Caribbean fighter, also known as “The Shadow” or “The Doctor” for his unique fighting style, defeated 5-0 in the Japanese capital the representative of the Russian Olympic Committee, world champion Muslim Gadzhimagomedov, in the dispute for the reign in the 91 kilograms.
