The incidence of the new coronavirus in Cuba caused a stop of more than three months to the 2019 – 2020 school year. In accordance with this incident, in Contramaestre, priority is given to twelfth grade students, who concluded their final exams and began revisions for higher education entrance exams.
By that time, Yaila Annieska Gorina Cabrera, who is in the final grade at Antonio Santiago García Pre-University in the municipality of Contramaestre, had it very clear that studying was the word of order, only that circumstances would impose challenges never before thought of by her or her teachers.
The young woman, who did not neglect her preparation during the period of isolation, had the help of her parents and is especially grateful to the virtual reviewer, the Cuba Educa portal and the round tables in which Education Minister Ena Elsa Velázquez Cobiella participated.
After declaring the recovery stage after COVID 19, Gorina Cabrera returns to the classroom and personally consults her doubts with the teachers, now face to face, aware that she must use her nasobuco and continue with the hygienic measures to avoid catching the Sars Cov-2 virus.
Meanwhile, the young student knows that responsibility for life and study is the way to achieve the career of her dreams.
