Havana, Nov 2 (RHC) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez denounced on Monday the attack by the US government on remittances to the Caribbean country.

In his account on the social network Twitter, the head of the Cuban diplomacy assured that justifying the harm to the Cubans in both countries is cynical and criminal, in reference to the application since last October 23 of new measures against the sending of remittances to the island.

He wrote that the attack on remittances can only come from a government that specializes in building walls and separating families, and that it is a presidential mockery of the values promoted by US society.

On that subject, a few days ago Rodriguez referred to the provision announced by the Cuban Assets Control Office of the U.S. Treasury Department, which prohibits the use of the general license that allows the sending of money for that concept, to make transactions with certain companies in Cuba.

“This reaffirms that there are no limits for a criminal government in the imposition of policies that limit contacts, communication and mutual aid between the families of both countries,” the headline stated.

In the IV Workshop of the Puebla Group dedicated to the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the US against Cuba, the Foreign Minister also condemned this measure and said that its adoption responds to electoral purposes. (Source: ACN)
