Sri Lanka: Solidarity work of Cuban doctors highlighted

Colombo, Oct 7 (RHC) The Minister of Industrial Plantations of Sri Lanka, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, highlighted this Wednesday the solidarity work of Cuban doctors in several countries of the world in the confrontation with the Covid-19.

According to Prensa Latina, during a meeting between the Sri Lankan official and the Cuban Ambassador, Juana Elena Ramos Rodríguez, the friendship and collaboration relations between both nations were corroborated and they also exchanged about the respective experiences in front of the current pandemic of the new coronavirus.

During the courtesy visit of the Cuban diplomat to the headquarters of that portfolio, both parties expressed their interest in continuing the development and expansion of bilateral ties, particularly in the sector of cultivation and processing of coconut, according to a diplomatic source.
