Havana, Mar 11 (ACN) A Cuban delegation led by David Lobaina, representative of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) for Central Europe, is attending the Hungarian International Tourism Fair at the Hungexpo fairgrounds in the capital city of Budapest.
The Cuban stand in the exhibition area of the event offers the public information about the campaign “Authentic Cuba”, led by MINTUR, specialists and tour operators with the aim of showing the world the potential of the largest of the Antilles as a safe destination for tourists.
The opening ceremony was also attended by the Cuban ambassador to the European nation, Alicia Elvira Corredera Morales, and it was presided over by Gábor Ganczer, General Director of Hungexpo; Gergely Karácsony, Mayor of Budapest and the Ambassador of Italy, Massimo Rustico, guest of honor.
Likewise, the Cuban diplomatic headquarters in Hungary hosts other collateral activities of the event, among them a meeting with the top managers of the company “Seven Secrets”, which is dedicated to luxury hotels, as well as an informative meeting with the tour operators who have working relations with the Antillean consulate and journalists specialized in tourism.
Last October, the Cuban travel agency Day Tours and the Turkish Airlines starred in the launch of Cuba as a tourist destination at the Marriot Hotel in Budapest, in order to inform the Hungarian nation of the main objectives of Cuban tourism, and its characteristics making it attractive.
