In order to strengthen cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean to achieve the UN Agenda 2030, the First Working Meeting of the Sustainable Development Network Goals began in Havana.
The two-day encounter is headed by Cuban Vice Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Ileana Núñez, and she will address the implementation of the aforementioned agenda in the region, she said.
Last month, Cuba chaired the third meeting of the Forum of Latin American and Caribbean Countries on Sustainable Development, held in Santiago de Chile, with the participation of government representatives, international institutions and the academy.
The Cuban authorities denounce that the economic, financial and commercial blockade imposed on the Island by the United States, is the main obstacle for the sustainable development of the country.
