Havana, Aug 26 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel evoked today the ideas of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, about the popular participation in the solution of problems.
Díaz-Canel recalled in his Twitter account a speech by Fidel Castro on August 26, 1961 at the opening of the First National Production Meeting, held at the Chaplin Theater.
‘Absolutely nothing can be achieved if it is not with the participation of the masses, that is, with the participation of the people,’ said the revolutionary leader at the time.
Since he assumed the presidency, on April 19, 2018, Diaz-Canel insisted that his mandate is aligned with the execution of his predecessors Fidel Castro and Raul Castro.
On innumerable occasions, including the confrontation with the Covid-19 pandemic, the president has called for the joint participation of the country’s leadership with the people.
