Cuba and Russia signed a memorandum of understanding in Havana that will consolidate collaboration in the field of telecommunications between the two nations.
The document was signed Monday at the Ministry of Communications by the Cuban minister of that portfolio, Jorge Luis Perdomo, and the vice minister of Digital Development, Communication and Mass Communication of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mamonov.
Wilfredo Gonzalez, First Deputy Minister of Communications of Cuba, explained that the memorandum covers essential areas in the field of technologies, such as telecommunications and the information technology industry, and it includes elements related to cybersecurity.
“Everything Cuba is interested regarding the issues of the ministry I represent, we are willing to provide detailed answers and solutions,” said the Russian official.
