Contramaestre will be a sub-venue of the Pepe Sánchez International Trova Festival in Memoriam, next March 21. The renowned troubadour Eduardo Sosa arrived, once again in this municipality, to coordinate with the cell of the Hermanos Saíz Association (AHS) and the Municipal Direction of Culture the activities that will take place that day here.
This city will live for the first time a unique experience, until now, when contestants in the event will offer the best of their musical art to the Contramaestrians, who will know how to be worthy hosts.
What was once a working visit by Sosa in his position as president of the organizing committee of Cuba’s oldest cultural event, also became a discharge of identity themes from our Cuba. In the House of the Young Creator of Contramaestre he delighted, together with the also bard Abel Acosta, a public diverse in age but similar in the taste for good talent.
The discharge for more than an hour among songs like La Bayamesa, Son para ti, Vivo en un país libre, Para Bárbara, A la loma de Belén …, had moments of dialogue, in which Sosa shared his experiences, his playfulness and joy.
Sosa told Radio Grito de Baire:
“I plan to bring David Alvarez, David Blanco, among other troubadour. A meeting between poets will be promoted. This festival day coincides with International Poetry Day.”
