Cuban President congratulates MAS and Luis Arce for winning the Bolivian presidency

Havana, Oct 19 (Red Web) The president of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, on Monday congratulated the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) and its candidate for the presidency of Bolivia, Luis Arce, for winning at the polls.

In his account on the social network Twitter, the dignitary affirmed that with the recovery of democratic power in the sister Andean-Amazon nation, the Bolivarian ideal is reborn.

This Sunday, October 18th, the presidential elections were held in Bolivia with great expectations, after almost a year since the coup d’état that took Evo Morales Ayma, constitutionally elected, out of power.

Upon knowing the results at the mouth of the ballot box that give him as the winner of the elections with 52.4 percent of the votes, Arce said that his country has recovered democracy and hope.

He also thanked his people, the MAS militancy and the international community for accompanying the electoral process.
