The Thirteenth Workshop on Local History and Computers was held today in the town of Baire, in the municipality of Contramaestre, with the presentation of 77 papers on different personalities and historical facts, as well as proposals to improve teaching in this order.
Representatives of the provincial leadership of the National Union of Cuban Historians, and of the Cuban Communist Party in Contramaestre were present.
The papers were presented by teachers, scholars of local and national history, students of the medical faculty, and of secondary education. The number of speakers was 212.
Andrés Núñez Lora, president of the National Union of Cuban Historians presided over the event.
