Cuba reports 73 new Covid-19 cases

As of yesterday’s close, September 15, 1,783 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 62 were under surveillance, 1,087 were suspected and 634 confirmed.

For COVID-19, 7,939 samples were studied, resulting in 73 positive samples. The country accumulates 508 thousand 224 samples made and 4 thousand 876 positive (0.96%). Therefore, by yesterday’s closing, 73 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 4 thousand 876 in the country.

73 cases have been diagnosed, 50 of which are Cuban and 23 foreign. Of the total number of cases (73): 70 were contacts of confirmed cases and three without a precise source of infection.

Of the 73 confirmed cases, 50 are male and 23 are female. 71.2% (52) were asymptomatic, accumulating 2,884 that represent 59.1% of those confirmed to date.
Of the 4,876 patients diagnosed with the disease, 634 (13%) remain confirmed, 617 (97.3%) with stable clinical evolution. There are reported 109 deaths (one of the day), two evacuated, 12 discharges of the day, 4 thousand 131 patients recovered (85%). Five patients are reported to be in critical condition and 12 in severe condition.
