Cuba reports 52 new cases with Covid-19

The national director of Minsap Epidemiology, Francisco Duran, reported this Friday the confirmation of 52 new cases with the Covid-19, after the study of 5855 samples in the molecular biology laboratories of the country.

At the close of this Thursday, 1495 people remained in hospitals, 36 of them were under surveillance, 782 are suspects and 677 are confirmed active.

Cuba accumulates 420 273 analyzed samples and 4266 persons diagnosed since the beginning of the pandemic in the nation.

Of the persons diagnosed, all of them are Cuban, 23 were contact of confirmed cases, that is, 44.2 percent, in five of them the source of infection was not specified and 24 had source of infection outside the country.

As for the sex, 14 were men and 38 women. At the time of diagnosis, 37 were asymptomatic.

Taking into account the age groups, seven patients are in the pediatric age group, 22 are between 20 and 39 years old, 19 are between 40 and 60 years old, and four are over 60 years old.

The 28 indigenous cases identified yesterday belong to the provinces of Pinar del Río, two cases, Artemisa, three cases, Havana, 14 cases, Matanzas, three cases and Ciego de Ávila, six cases.

At the close of this Thursday, there were 656 people with a stable evolution, four critics and 17 people in serious condition. There were 13 medical discharges for a total of 3487 recovered persons.
