Cuba reports 42 new cases of Covid-19

As of yesterday’s closing, September 13, 1,729 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 67 were under surveillance, 1,086 were suspected and 576 confirmed.

For COVID-19, 7,380 samples were studied, resulting in 42 positive samples. The country accumulates 492,527 samples made and 4,726 positive (0.96%). Therefore, at the end of yesterday, 42 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 4,726 in the country.

Of the 42 diagnosed cases: 41 are Cuban and one foreigner with a source of infection abroad.

Of the total number of cases (42): 31 were contacts of confirmed cases, 10 without a precise source of infection, and one with a source of infection abroad.

Of the 42 confirmed cases, 17 are male and 25 are female. A total of 71.4% (30) were asymptomatic, adding up to 2,775, representing 58.7% of confirmed cases to date.
