As of yesterday’s closing, September 5, 1,573 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which: 24 under surveillance, 933 suspected and 616 confirmed.
For COVID-19, 5,760 samples were studied, resulting in 11 positive samples. The country accumulates 432 thousand 040 samples made and 4 thousand 309 positive ones (1%). Therefore, at the end of yesterday, 11 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 4 thousand 309 in the country.
The 11 diagnosed cases are Cuban. From the total of cases (11): eight (72.7%) were contacts of confirmed cases, two (18.1%) without precise source of infection and one with source of infection abroad (9.1%).
Of the 11 confirmed cases, three (27.3%) were men and eight (72.7%) were women. 63.6% (7) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.
Of the 4,309 patients diagnosed with the disease, 616 (14.3%) remain confirmed, 600 (97.4%) with stable clinical evolution. There are reported 101 deaths (one of the day), two evacuated and 3 thousand 590 recovered patients (83.4%) (20 discharges of the day). Three patients are reported to be in critical condition and 13 in severe condition.
