Cuba reports 63 new Covid-19 cases

As of the close of yesterday, October 20, for COVID-19, 6,719 samples were studied, resulting in 63 positive samples. Cuba accumulated 763,342 samples and 6,368 positive ones (0.83%). Therefore, at the end of yesterday, 63 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 6,368 in the country. The 63 diagnosed cases are Cuban and native.

Apart from that, three thousand and three hundred patients were admitted to health institutions for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 2,313 are under surveillance, 562 are suspected, and 425 have been confirmed.

Of the total number of cases (63): 58 were contacts of confirmed cases and 5 without a precise source of infection. Of the 63 confirmed cases, 21 are female and 42 are male. 68.2% (43) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

Out of the 6,368 patients diagnosed with the disease, 425 (6.6%) remain confirmed, 420 (98.8%) with stable clinical evolution. It is reported 127 deaths (none of them during the day), two evacuated, eight discharges during the day, 5 thousand 814 patients recovered (91.3%), two patients in critical state and three in serious state.
