Cuba reports 83 new Covid-19 cases

Authorities from the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported this Monday 83 new cases with Covid-19, after the study of 7 880 samples in the country’s molecular biology laboratories.

According to the information of MINSAP’s official site, the nation accumulates 808 077 samples made, and from them 6 678 positive ones (0.83%).
There are 3,858 patients admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 802 are suspects, 2,559 are under surveillance and 497 are confirmed active.

Of the diagnosed cases, all are Cuban, 81 native and two imported. As for the gender, 26 were women and 57 men. 62.6% (52) of the positive cases were asymptomatic.

As of October 26, 185 countries have reported cases of VIDOC-19, with 43,140,202 confirmed cases (+382,155) and 1,155,235 deaths (+3,912), for a lethality of 2.67% (-0.02).

In the region of the Americas, 19,802,598 confirmed cases have been reported (+107,316), 45.90% of the total number of cases reported worldwide, with 627,198 deaths (+1,427) for a fatality rate of 3.17% (-0.01).
