Cuba reports 26 new Covid-19 cases

By the end of yesterday, September 27, 7,824 patients were admitted to hospitals for clinical epidemiological surveillance, of which 6,011 were under surveillance, 1,241 were suspected and 572 confirmed. For COVID-19, 7,099 samples were studied, resulting in 26 positive samples. The country accumulates 599,020 samples made and 5,483 positive ones (0.92%).

Therefore, at the end of yesterday, 26 new cases were confirmed, with an accumulated of 5 thousand 483 in the country. The 26 diagnosed cases are Cuban. Of the total number of cases (26): 100% were contacts of confirmed cases. Of these, 13 (50%) are male and 13 (50%) are female.

Of the 5,483 patients diagnosed with the disease, 572 (10.4%) are still confirmed, 567 (99.1%) with stable clinical evolution. It is reported 122 deaths (none of them during the day), two evacuated, 36 discharges during the day, 4 thousand 787 recovered patients (87.3%), two critical and three severe.

Until September 27th, 185 countries are reported with cases of COVID-19, it amounts to 32 million 865 thousand 838 confirmed cases (+251 thousand 994) and 993 thousand 438 deads (+3 thousand 710) for a lethality of 3.02% (-0.01).

In the region of the Americas, 16,400,563 confirmed cases (+115,164) have been reported, representing 49.90% of the total number of reported cases worldwide, with 550,761 deaths (+2,889) for a fatality rate of 3.35% (-0.01).
