“The call is extensive; for professors and students of the University, as well as for the institutions of the municipality, mainly to the agro-industrial entities, which have to do with local development, informed Segura.
The current University’s relationship to society, the state, business, other academic and scientific institutions is vital so that, through synergy, it can better contribute to the demands of today’s society, which is advancing and changing at an unprecedented rate.
The University develops a set of processes through which it can achieve the desired impact on knowledge management as the basis for local development, but this effort does not meet the needs of a current situation that urgently needs to generate environmental reflection, awareness of peace and negotiation, empathy, solidarity and social vocation. For this reason, it is insisted that the University goes beyond the walls of technical training and works on the development of professional competencies that allow for an integrated, inclusive and equitable education.
