Paris, France. – The Association Cuba Cooperation France (CubaCoop) celebrates its general assembly with items on the agenda such as the economic situation of the island and the prospects of promoting new joint projects.
With dozens of initiatives implemented in the largest of the Antilles aimed at promoting local development, the organization created in 1995 to promote ties of friendship and solidarity seeks to expand decentralized cooperation and to involve new French actors interested in working with the Caribbean country.
Transport, water supply, renewable energies and culture are some of the sectors that in recent years have benefited the island as a result of CubaCoop’s management.
The president of the association, Víctor Fernández, pointed out the purpose of carrying out actions such as encouraging French companies to invest in Cuba and announced that the assembly will adopt a motion against the US blockade imposed on Cuba.
