Cuban Parliament begins work in committees

Havana, Cuba. – Today, the Cuban Parliament initiates the work in permanent commissions, corresponding to the 4th Ordinary Session in its 9th Legislature.

The deputies will discuss for two days issues that have marked this year’s agenda of the President of the Republic, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, and the Council of Ministers.

The epidemiological situation of the country, the agro-food production, the situation with the supplies and the measures adopted to face the energy situation are some of the topics that will be the focus of the exchanges.

The deputies will also learn how the closure of the Economy Plan is expected in 2019, the proposal for the coming year, and the results of the audit of the reordering of self-employment, including tax discipline.
