Cuba will participate in the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, which for the first time will be held virtually because of the global health crisis generated by the COVID-19, reported Cubaminrex.

Our country will intervene both in the General Debate and in the high-level events that will take place: the sessions commemorating the 75th anniversary of the United Nations, the 25th anniversary of the Fourth World Conference on Women and the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons, as well as the Summit on Biodiversity.

As it does every year, Cuba will defend multilateralism, full respect for the principles and norms of international law, the central role of the United Nations and its General Assembly in addressing the serious challenges facing humanity and in advancing the construction of a democratic, just and equitable international order that responds to the call for peace and sustainable development of our peoples.
