A new donation of medical supplies to confront the new coronavirus pandemic was given to the Cuban people by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, the Yutong bus company and the Red Cross of that Asian nation.
The shipment, which is already on Cuban ground, is another sign of the solidarity and brotherhood between the two countries on the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, according to Ana Teresita González, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba, on her official Twitter account.
On April 24, an airplane carrying health products purchased in China arrived in Havana with the purpose of strengthening the capacities of the Cuban health system in the face of the COVID-19 confrontation.
The shipment was transported from the municipality of Shanghai, east of China, with all the logistics required, including the cold chain to ensure its arrival in this capital in optimal conditions.
Cuba and China are celebrating this 2020 six decades of friendship, cooperation and solidarity, based on mutual respect and exchange in key sectors of the economy such as agriculture and biotechnology industry, which makes the Asian country the first trading partner of the Caribbean nation in that continent.
