Santiago de Cuba, May 27 (RHC) The 40th Caribbean Festival, based in Santiago de Cuba City, is postponed to July 2021, taking into account the epidemiological situation generated by the new coronavirus in the Greater Antilles, the region and the world.
The information was announced today by Orlando Verges, director of Casa del Caribe, the institution that prepares the event annually, at a meeting of the organizing committee.
In order not to miss the event, a program of activities will take place from July 3 to 9, including recognition of the founders, online workshops on the impact of COVID-19 on traditional popular culture and the virtual Caribbean Hall, using the benefits of new information and communication technologies.
This will also be the occasion to develop the promotional campaign for the Caribbean Festival scheduled for July 3-9, 2021, in Santiago de Cuba, said Orlando Verges.
The event will be dedicated to Belize, the Suponen studios, of the Music Recording and Publishing Company, EGREM, and the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Casa del Caribe and the Taller de Teatro Popula.
